Cambridge Clinic Staff Lends a Hand at Touch-A-Truck Event

Fort HealthCare Cambridge Clinic staff were present again at the annual Cambridge Emergency Medical Services Touch a Truck event, held on Saturday, May 21, 2012. The family medicine clinic offered free goodies and information to those interested in women’s health, disposal of household sharps and children’s health (including whooping cough and medication dosing for fever). Also, on hand was the Fort Memorial Hospital Paramedic Intercept Vehicle, a fully outfitted rescue vehicle that meets area ambulance services in the field after a serious illness or accident.

In conjunction with Touch-A-Truck, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office hosted a bike rodeo. A bike rodeo is designed to be a fun, educational and hands on way for children and parents to learn about bike safety. Free bike helmets were provided by Fort HealthCare for the first 50 participants.
