Friday, August 27, 2010 - F. Bradford Meyers, MD, of Fort HealthCare-Rockwood announces expansion of office hours effective September 1 to accommodate early morning and evening appointments on most days of the week. Fort HealthCare-Rockwood is located at 152 West Garland Street in Jefferson, Wis. The new hours will be: Mondays 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to noon. Same day appointments are available. Hospitalist Program at Fort HealthCare

Wednesday, August 25, 2010 - Beginning Tuesday, August 24 some adult patients admitted to the intensive care unit and the medical/surgical/pediatric unit at Fort Memorial Hospital will receive medical care from physicians with specific training in the care of hospitalized persons. The physicians responsible for admitting these patients are called hospitalists and they work closely with the patient’s primary care physician throughout the inpatient stay. Because of the intensive training these physicians have received in caring for very medically ill patients, the effectiveness and efficiency of care provided is expected to be enhanced.
