Bill Kontny MD is board certified surgeon dedicated to providing expert surgical services. “I’m committed to providing patients with current medical information and technology close to home such as advancing the treatment options available to patients with varicose vein disease.

James P. Wishau, MD: Internist

“I like to problem-solve and help patients work out their health issues. They are in the best position to tell me what’s wrong… I just confirm what they know about themselves. I try to offer personalized care, and be accessible and available even on short notice when a patient needs to get in to the clinic right away. Our staff is respectful of our patients’ time, and we try to get them answers as quickly as possible. The GI aspect of my practice has been very rewarding, given our high success rate in preventing colon cancer. Preventive medicine in general is my preference.”

Dr. James P. Wishau’s Interests:

Dr. Wishau offers a variety of treatments and GI consultation services in addition to internal medicine care, including:

• Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
• PEG tube placement and management
• Treatment of GI bleeding, diarrhea, abdominal pain, IBS
• Balloon dilation of GI strictures, upper and lower
• Esophageal manometry and pH analysis
• Hepatic evaluation including liver biopsy
• Provides evaluation of GERD as it may relate to chronic cough
• Performing the HALO procedure for the treatment of Barrett's Esophagus

Dr. Wishau also has additional certification in the examination, evaluation and treatment of the stomach and colon, including analysis of swallowing difficulty, chronic heartburn, and non-cardiac chest pain. He also provides evaluation of GERD as it may relate to chronic cough and sore throat.
