Stone, MD, FACC: CardiologistWhen asked what he enjoys most about caring for his patients, Dr. Stone says, “I like solving patient clinical problems, helping to explain various aspects of cardiac problems, and learning patient’s life stories.” Dr. Stone's Interests:Dr. Stone’s special interests involve noninvasive imaging of heart disease and regional distribution of specialty care. He joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin in 1988 as director of Nuclear Cardiology. His clinical activities include supervising and interpreting treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests, interpreting cardiac PET scans, implementing novel imaging protocols and serving as clinical liaison for the Nuclear Cardiology section, which provides a broad base of nuclear imaging techniques. In 2003, he was appointed director of Cardiology Outreach, overseeing outreach clinics at regional hospitals in southern and central Wisconsin. In his free time, Dr. Stone has many, dynamic interests including sailing, skiing and traveling with his family. |
