Articles coincide with Fort HealthCare's employee wellness themes and are free to download and share. Enjoy a different article and activity each month. Spanish materials also available.
Show us your blue!
Help us to bring awareness to diabetes by wearing blue during the month of November! Choose something blue to wear then gather your family, friends, or co-workers for a group photo and share it with us. Photos will be shared as an album on social media. Email photos to before November 10th.
Healthy Food Pantries
Food pantries need donations all year long, but they look for extra support around the holidays. If you are considering donating to your local pantry or hosting a food drive, has many resources to help guide you with donations and food drives that will ensure our food pantries can meet the nutritional needs of different people. Healthy food pantries makes it easier for people with chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, to manage their disease. Follow the link to learn more.
Humor and Caregiving with Teepa Snow

ADRC Celebrates National Family Caregiver Month

Do I need an elder law attorney or a financial advisor?
The ADRC of Jefferson County and Alzheimer's Association are offering two learning sessions (Nov. 4th and Nov. 11th) on the difference between an Elder Law Attorney and a Financial Advisor including what documents are needed when meeting with both and tips for successful conversations. Memory/Cognitive Screening Events
These free 15-minute screening sessions, offered by the ADRC of Jefferson County, helps to identify possible changes in memory and cognition; it creates a baseline of where a person is at so that future changes can be monitored. Screening sessions continue through December throughout Jefferson County.
Winter Virtual 5k Series
Join participants from the USA and the world in a free Virtual 5k Series which includes 6 different "races" held once or twice per month between October 2021 and February 2022.

CAC's Winter Glow
Winter Glow started in 2021 and offers a verity of resources including free winter coats, vaccinations, a pop-up food pantry, and more. In JEFFERSON COUNTY, Winter Glow will take place on Nov 12th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown and on Nov 14th at Country Inn in Fort Atkinson. Follow the link to learn more.
