Welcome to Our Healthy Community! The purpose of this newsletter is to share resources and connect partners who help drive the health of our community. It takes all of us to come together through our worksites, schools and community groups to become the healthiest community in Wisconsin. Thank you for all you do! WELLNESS ARTICLES

Wednesday Walks with ADRC
The "Wednesday Walks" program offers a wonderful way to get fresh air, feel the sun, exercise, meet new people and enjoy many unique attractions in Jefferson County. The next walk with be held SEPTEMBER 22nd at the Dorothy Carnes Park East at 9:00 a.m. Reservations are required. Please call to register or to arrange a ride: 920-675-4049.

Community Partners of Jefferson County
Community Partners of Jefferson County is a committee of representatives from local business and organizations in Jefferson County, aimed at "connecting the voices" of our Hispanic Community by sharing the different resources around the area, such as bilingual services, programs and events. The Unity Project - Fall Fiesta September 18th Jones Park
The mission of the Unity Project is to promote a sense of acceptance and belonging among all members of the community. They will be hosting their Annual Fall Fiesta this year at Jones Park! For details, please click to learn more.
Rock River Health Care Network
The purpose of the Rock River Health Care Network (RRHCN) is to increase health equity in Jefferson and Dodge Counties, specifically focusing on low-income individuals’ access to primary care through a value-based approach that provides improved care and health at a lower cost. Dementia Friendly Community Network
Please join Heather Janes, Dementia Care Specialist with the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Jefferson County, at 3:30 pm on the 3rd Monday of the month at Dwight Foster Public Library (and virtually!). Access the informational brochure below.
Humor and Caregiving with Teepa Snow
Join Teepa Snow in her presentation on Humor and Caregiving on November 18th 9-11 am. Snow is one of the world’s leading advocates and educators for individuals living with dementia. Local Blood Drives
Local blood drive dates and locations are continually updated, as well as information related to the Covid-19 vaccine and donations, on our website . Pre-registration is required. Please visit our page regularly to sign up for a blood drive near you.

Each month we feature free downloadable wellness challenges and information that can be shared with your employees. The topic for September is Preventative Health. Previous months are also archived on this page.
American Heart Association for Worksites
