Fort HealthCare’s Edge Performance Training is offering a FREE 6 week performance training and ACL injury prevention class to female Fort Atkinson High School athletes. Classes will focus on strength training for improved overall athleticism and confidence with weight lifting. Training will include carefully selected exercises that have been scientifically proven to reduce the rate of ACL injuries in female athletes. The sessions will be provided by Fort HealthCare Physical Therapists and athletic training staff. This class will take place every Tuesday from July 9th – August 13th from 4pm to 5pm in the Fort Atkinson High School weight room.

A four–week class where you’ll learn golf-specific stretching and strengthening exercises to get your body in shape for the upcoming season. Class will cover all aspects of the game of golf, including; address, set-up, ball position, grip, club selection and short game.

Early Season Golf Tactics Flyer (Mondays) – March 2019
Sports medicine trained professionals will be providing advice for coaches of baseball and softball players in regards to the mechanics of throwing. This is a free opportunity for area coaches to learn about common throwing technique errors, simple coaching corrections and drills, prevention & treatment of common throwing injuries, stretching & strengthening exercises, and motion analysis of proper mechanics. Keep your athletes on the field by helping to prevent overuse injuries!

Want to start exercising but not sure how to start? Never exercised and need some guidance? Not interested in investing in a gym and want to do an exercise program from home? This program is for you! Get n Fit is targeted for adults who are ready to start an exercise program.
Through Get N Fit, you’ll work with a certified athletic trainer who will customize a fitness program to meet your needs. The initial session will include a pre-fitness test assessing: Body composition Balance, Flexibility, Strength, Cardiovascular endurance, Resting and training heart rates
An individualized fitness program will be developed to perform at home. Goals will be set and follow-up visits will be scheduled to re-assess goals, to progress the program, and to acknowledge milestones.
