In these days of Internet access and search engines, it is not difficult for healthcare consumers to find quality rankings for local healthcare providers. We at Fort HealthCare encourage our patients to learn as much as possible about health conditions before and after they seek care – including the quality of care provided by area hospitals and physicians.
Similarly, employers are becoming both cost and quality conscious – recognizing that healthy, educated employees make for healthy bottom lines.
As cost- and quality-consciousness have grown within society, so too has the opportunity to learn more about healthcare providers. As required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Fort HealthCare is publishing our list of hospital and clinic charges. You can download and view our charge master file here. The file contains the schedule of gross billed charges for a given item regardless of payer type. These charges do not reflect the actual payments received by Fort HealthCare, which are often less than the gross charges.
Within the charge master file, there are items that have a zero ($0) charge. The cost of these items are either included (bundled) into the charge of another item, or if the item is a certain type of supply like a hearing aid or an implant, the charge is applied based on the market value at the time of the service.
If you have any questions about our charges, you may contact our Business Office by telephone at (920) 568-6580, Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or in person 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
