What is the Frosty Rock Challenge?

This is an annual race that takes place in November and offers a 1 mile kids run, a 5k run/walk and a 12k run/walk put on by Fort HealthCare.

How long is a 5k? How long is a 12k?

A 5k is 3.1 miles and a 12k is 7.46 miles.

Does this race support a cause?

A proceed of each registration will be donated to the Kiwanis Club.

What are the 5k and 12k routes?

Both the 5k and 12k begin at the Fort Atkinson High School (925 Lexington Blvd). The 5k route utilizes mostly the surrounding residential area, while the 12k utilizes “back roads” and Dorothy Carnes County Park.

What is the cost associated with the race?

1 mile Kids run = Free

5k without/with a t-shirt = $10 / $15

12k without/with a t-shirt = $10 / $15

I’m not a runner, can I walk my race?

Yes, you can walk the 3.1 or 7.46 miles.

How do I register?

Will there be a virtual option?

Yes, the 5k and 12k will offer a virtual option.

Will I be able to get a t-shirt for this race?

Yes. Just be sure to select the registration option that includes the t-shirt option.

Can I do this with a friend/family member?

Absolutely! We just ask that you practice physical distancing if you plan to walk/run together.

Can I get a refund if I decide not to do the race or am injured?

No. We are unable to provide refunds.   You may still pick up you race packet/t-shirt during the packet pick-up times.

Are strollers allowed?

For the 5K run and walk strollers are allowed, but must start at the rear of the race pack. Strollers are NOT permitted on the 12k route.

Are dogs allowed?

Sorry, no – dogs are not allowed at the race.

Are ear buds allowed?

We discourage the use of ear buds/headphones for safety reasons.

I registered for one distance, but would like to switch to other distance. Can I do that?

Yes, you may make changes by contacting wellness.advisor@forthc.com by November 10, 2022. Any changes after that will not be allowed.

Will there be race day registration?

Yes there will be race day registration from 7:30-8:45 at the Fort High School. There will also be packet pick-up and registration from Noon – 5:30 p.m. on Friday November 11th at Fort HealthCare, Fort Therapy & Sport Center, 1504 Madison Ave, Fort Atkinson. Shirts are NOT guaranteed  after October 14, 2022 registration.

Can I pick up race packet on race day?

Yes, you can pick up your race packet from 7:30-8:45 on race day at the Fort High School.

Can I pick up my friend’s packet?

Yes, you can pick up someone else’s packet – as long as you have their ID.

Can I change T-shirt size?

At packet-pick up you can change shirt sizes IF there is availability.

Are there porta-potties?

There are no porta-potties, but there are bathrooms available in the high school.

Can I run the race for someone else, or someone else run for me?

Due to safety reasons you are not allowed to participate under someone else’s registration. We must have emergency contact information available, in case there is an emergency.
