The school year brings all sorts of new changes to a family’s daily routine. Coming up with healthy snacks to have on hand at home or on the go with busy schedules, to pack for lunch, or to share with your child’s classroom should be an easy item to cross off the to-do list if you plan ahead. Heidi Jennrich, APNP, and the staff at Fort HealthCare Pediatrics recently created a short video to share with you some of the great snack food choices available that are healthy, and that kids love. The video was released on National Junk Food Day in July with a message that not all snacks need to be “junk.”
