Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony, December 7th!
Each year, the Fort HealthCare Partners select a project at Fort Memorial Hospital to support through the sale of Love Lights. Through proceeds raised during the 2017 campaign, funds will be used to help subsidize the cost of our CareLine service for those who cannot afford it, and additional funds will be used to support several healthcare scholarships for students and healthcare professionals in the area. Walk With a Doc This Saturday
Join us for another Walk With A Doc event coming up on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Jennifer Winter, MD with Fort HealthCare Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and will be giving a short introductory talk, and then will walk together with a group. This is a chance to get outside, move your body, and interact with doctors and other healthcare providers in a non-clinical setting. Everyone is welcome to join in, no matter your fitness level. You can walk as little or as much as you'd like or are comfortable doing. Even if you haven't exercised in years, or have never exercised, this is a great opportunity to hang out with a friendly group of folks and start walking.
Download our 2016 Community Benefit Report
Every minute of every day, someone enters a community hospital in need of assistance. Some are fortunate to have health insurance and find that most of the cost of care is covered. Others are not as fortunate and face both physical and financial hardship. Regardless of their personal or financial circumstances, we are here to help them. In all, Fort HealthCare provided more than $1.53 million in uncompensated charity care and $6.02 million in unreimbursed Medicaid in our last fiscal year, impacting multiple people in the communities we serve. In addition to supporting community programs and charity care, we also contribute annually to several local schools, organizations, and health and wellness events.
