Walk With a Doc This Saturday
Join us for another Walk With A Doc event coming up on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Stephanie Nottestad, MD with Fort HealthCare Family Physician and will be giving a short introductory talk, and then will walk together with a group. This is a chance to get outside, move your body, and interact with doctors and other healthcare providers in a non-clinical setting. Everyone is welcome to join in, no matter your fitness level. You can walk as little or as much as you'd like or are comfortable doing. Even if you haven't exercised in years, or have never exercised, this is a great opportunity to hang out with a friendly group of folks and start walking.

Also new for the month of November, there will be a second Walk With A Doc during the Frosty Rock Challenge with Bridget Monahan, MPH, RN of Fort HealthCare Health and Wellness department. This walk with start roughly at 9:10 a.m. The 2-mile route will start at the Fort Atkinson High School.
World Diabetes Day
Diabetes is a chronic health condition that currently has no cure, and up to 70 percent of type 2 diabetes cases can be prevented or delayed through modifying habits and adopting a healthier lifestyle. To help spread the word regarding treatment and the search for a cure, World Diabetes Day is held each November, which is also American Diabetes Month. To participate in the awareness surrounding this national health observation day, Fort HealthCare will have a table set up in the Armenia Street lobby on November 14th from 10am - 1pm with handouts. There will be a Certified Diabetes Educator on site to answer any questions you may have.
Frosty Rock Challenge November 11th

The race and festivities are being hosted at the Fort Atkinson High School (925 Lexington Blvd.) this year, and will begin in the morning and wrap up by noon.
