September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month. Wisconsin leads the nation in deadly falls, but they can be prevented. Fort HealthCare is offering FREE fall prevention screenings at various locations throughout September.

| The Jefferson County Drug Free Coalition is conducting a short survey for parents or guardians of youth ages 18 years and under to assess their knowledge and behaviors related to youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. | |

| Jefferson County Health Department Public Health Vending Machine |
|
The Jefferson County Health Department is excited to announce the installation of the Public Health Vending Machine outside their building. The vending machine has hygiene kits which include toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo and soap, mosquito wipes and wrist bands, and Narcan and fentanyl test strips.
Items will change based on the weather, season trends, and needs noted in the community. All items within the vending machine are free to community members. |
