Rock The Walk 2016
Fort HealthCare is challenging the greater Jefferson County area to “Rock The Walk,” inviting people to track their physical activity on a weekly basis in order to be more mindful about their health and current level of physical activity and to challenge them to increase their level on a daily basis, while competing for great prizes along the way. Rock The Walk 2016 kicks off on Tuesday, September 27th and finishes on Tuesday, November 22nd. Sign up today!
Mark your calendars for these upcoming community wellness events
There are a number of upcoming events taking place in several Jefferson County communities over the next several weeks. Mark your calendars! We are committed to improving the health and well-being of our communities, with a vision to be the healthiest community in Wisconsin.
Movin' & Losin' for Families!
Through a partnership with Tomorrow’s Hope, Fort HealthCare is able to bring "Movin’ & Losin’ for Families" to families with children ages 5-16 who are interested in eating healthier and starting a fitness routine. The class is 8-10 weeks long with new topics being taught each week related to diet and goal setting, followed by exercise. Classes begin September 12th!
We're a Baby-Friendly Hospital
The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative is a global program that was launched by the World Health Organization and UNICEF in 1991 to encourage and recognize hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother-and-baby bonding. We are the 369th hospital in the United States to achieve this, and the 10th hospital in Wisconsin.
Start - or keep - exercising this fall!
