Challenge begins December 6, 2016!

Health for the Holidays is a weight loss or maintenance challenge designed to power you through the holidays and help you stay on track of your goals. This Fort HealthCare employee-only-challenge runs from Tuesday, December 6, 2016 through Tuesday, January 31, 2017. It’s just eight weeks long with a few holidays in the mix, which will likely having you experiencing some ups and downs, but hopefully have you coming out on top – because even though you’ll take a holiday, your health should not!

The goal of this wellness challenge is to lose one pound per week (eight pounds total) or maintain your current weight over the holiday season. Both are notably quite tough to do, but the health rewards are great! Sign-up for the challenge on your Cerner health dashboard. The weigh-in schedule has already begun, and runs through Friday, December 2, or you have until December 12th to complete registration and weigh-in. Scheduled weigh-ins are taking place at the hospital (old Java Junction area) and at all of the clinics, so keep an eye out for when they’re coming to you! Employees without a Cerner account may contact Marci Pasquesi at x5244 to get set up with one. Also feel free to contact the Community Health & Wellness department with any questions! at x5244, at x5475, or at x5403

AND AS A REMINDER – Employee biometrics/labs for the new wellness year begin on February 1st, just after the challenge ends. What a perfect time to get on track, eat right, exercise, reduce stress, and tap into what makes you feel healthy and happy! Now’s the time!
