Honored were the Fort Atkinson School District, Whitewater Unified School District and the Cambridge School District/Cambridge Activities Program. Over 100 clients and representatives from Fort Atkinson-based Nasco, an international supplier of educational and agricultural supplies, attended a half-day symposium at Fort Memorial Hospital. Held on June 4, the event allowed Fort HealthCare staff to demonstrate how they use Nasco products to improve staff training and skills, and therefore, the quality of healthcare in the community.

Fort HealthCare honored its many volunteers at the annual awards banquet on April 25 at Jansen’s Banquet Hall in Fort Atkinson. Over 230 adult volunteers contributed 22,438 hours of service during 2012. In addition, 630 hours were volunteered by area high school and college students.

Fort HealthCare’s 2013 Slimdown Weight Loss Challenge encourages employees of our local businesses and other area residents to engage in exercise and healthy nutrition with a goal of reduced weight and improved emotional health. The ultimate goal is to improve the health and well-being of our community, as described in the Fort HealthCare mission statement. Participants are invited to join their employer-sponsored team to compete in the Challenge, and to compare their progress against other teams within the company and across the community.
