4H-Baby-Blankets-007-web (3)The Farmington All Stars 4H club donated over 100 baby blankets to the Florence Falk Nursery at Fort Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 9th. Over 50 children worked together as a community service project to create colorful, creative gifts for the nursery.

The Obstetric Nurses at Fort HealthCare Birthing Center will be passing the All Stars 4H Club’s gift during the time a new baby is born at Fort Memorial Hospital. The blankets were accepted by Deb Schumacher, RN manager for the Birthing Center.

A 4-H club program (Health, Heart, Head, Hands) is designed for young children in the community, guided by adult volunteers, to engage in fun programs to create young leaders. Each 4H club instills opportunities in volunteer work, healthier lifestyles, and creating a positive impact in a community.
