Free Presentation: Bladder Control Solutions

Craig Kozler, MD, and Christopher Manakas, MD, urologists with Fort HealthCare Urology Associates, are hosting free information sessions about an innovative treatment for bladder control issues. The first presentation date is Tuesday, November 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fort Memorial Hospital Auditorium in Fort Atkinson. The second is on Thursday, November 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Fort HealthCare Wound & Edema Center location in Johnson Creek (second level entrance at 400 Doctors Court). The presentation will be the same at either location, so it is only necessary to attend one. The information sessions are educational, and open for anyone to attend. The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recently notified Fort HealthCare that the recent electronic medical record (EMR) initiative at Fort Memorial Hospital and Fort HealthCare clinics has resulted in a HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 Award, signifying attainment of the highest level on the Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model. Free Men's Health Talk

The urologists of Fort HealthCare Urology Associates are hosting a free men’s health talk on Tuesday, September 18th. Live Well programming helps underserved population know their numbers

Fort HealthCare recognizes that access to essential primary care services is sometimes unavailable to those who are under-insured. In a continuing effort to increase access to care, the organization is introducing a new program that provides these individuals with baseline lab measurements, biometrics like waist circumference and body mass index, and a general health risk assessment that addresses chronic diseases and lifestyle choices. The program also provides access to tools and information needed to make necessary lifestyle changes. It is specifically targeted to benefit those with little or no insurance, and is funded through Tomorrow’s Hope.

Stepping On program offered for seniors

Fort HealthCare is once again offering Stepping On, a fall prevention program for seniors. Those 65 and older, who have had a fall, are fearful of falling or are living in their own home or apartment are encouraged to attend the workshop led by Lee Clay, RN and Faith Nurse coordinator.
