Fort Healthcare Adds Endocrinology Specialty Service

Tuesday, February 24, 2026

Fort HealthCare is proud to introduce Endocrinology services to its growing list of specialty care offerings. Provided by Dr. Richmond Gyamfi, he brings fellowship-trained expertise in health concerns related to diabetes care, thyroid function, bone health, low testosterone, and more.

Endocrinology focuses on the glands and hormones that regulate important body functions such as metabolism, growth, blood sugar, bone health, and reproduction. When something feels “off” whether it’s trouble managing diabetes, unexplained weight changes, ongoing fatigue, or thyroid concerns, Dr. Gyamfi can help identify the cause and create a clear plan forward.

“Many people live with symptoms for a long time without clear answers,” said Dr. Richmond Gyamfi. “Our new service allows us to provide specialized evaluations and create personalized plans for patients who need more focused support.”

Another significant benefit of this new service is improved access. Traditionally, Endocrinology services have only been available through larger healthcare systems. Patients can now schedule timely appointments locally through Fort HealthCare Endocrinology. This means patients receive the care they need sooner and can begin treatment without lengthy wait times.

Dr. Gyamfi, MD, FACP, completed fellowship training in Endocrinology at Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia. He completed his residency at Michigan State University and earned his medical degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
