Fort HealthCare adds new clinic and new providers
Thursday, September 27, 2012
Fort HealthCare opened a new primary care clinic, Fort HealthCare Integrated Family Care, on September 10. The clinic is temporarily located at 426 McMillen Street in Fort Atkinson (the location that formerly housed Fort HealthCare Surgical Associates). In spring 2013, the new practice will move into its permanent location at 1520 Madison Avenue, in the building that currently houses the Goodwill Store and is adjacent to Fort HealthCare Orthopaedic Associates and the Therapy & Sport Center.
The clinic is staffed by physicians Edwin Fischer, MD, Sara Barnes, DO, Aaron Beck, MD and pediatric nurse practitioner Laurel Runte. Drs. Fischer, Barnes and Runte were previously providing care in the Fort HealthCare Lake Mills clinic. The Lake Mills clinic is still operating, with physicians Wahab Kazi, MD, James Wishau, MD, Frederick Kron, MD, Jennifer Philbin, MD and nurse practitioner Noelle Van de Kreeke providing family and internal medicine care. Jonathan Brodie, MD, Mary Miller, MD and Dr. Kazi also continue to provide urgent care services at the Lake Mills clinic.
Sarah Sisbach, executive director of physician services states, “The opening of the new clinic and addition of family medicine providers in Fort Atkinson is intended to compliment the wide range of services also provided by Fort HealthCare Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. The addition of physicians and nurse practitioners in the community should increase access to care and open up more opportunities for individuals to be seen by a doctor with minimal wait times, meeting the demands of our growing community.”
