Fort HealthCare Offering Early Season Golf Tactics Class

Fort HealthCare Therapy & Sport Center is offering Early Season Golf Tactics instruction to help keep golfers conditioned for their sport through the winter. The class is four weeks long, running on Mondays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the center. The center is located at 1504 Madison Avenue in Fort Atkinson. Class instructor, Brian Meitner, LAT, USGTF, is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and a certified member of the United States Golf Teachers Federation. He describes the class, “Early Season Golf Tactics is a four-week class where you’ll learn golf-specific stretching and strengthening exercises to get your body in shape for the upcoming season. All students will have their swing analyzed by Fort HealthCare’s Motion Pro video analysis system.”

Meitner continues, “Also, we’ll be providing tips for indoor and outdoor work on swing mechanics while you hit some golf balls at our indoor golf cage.”

Meitner earned his Bachelor of Science in Education at UW-Whitewater and a Master of Arts: School of Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University. He is certified by both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the United States Golf Teachers Federation. He is an athletic trainer with the Fort HealthCare Therapy & Sport Center with a special interest in utilizing performance enhancement to help athletes in all sports improve. Using biochemical video analysis, he enjoys teaching the proper mechanics of golf, throwing, and running to protect athletes from possible injury while helping them improve their skill and technique.
