Fort HealthCare Safe Haven at the Fair

Fort HealthCare is once again proud sponsors of the Jefferson County Fair, July 9-13. During the Fair we provide various services located within our tent located across from the Fair Park Office. Our tent is identified as a Safe Haven for several reasons.
Have a need for a bandage? Need a place to cool off? We’re the tent for you! We provide First Aid in our tent and work with Jefferson EMS who would transport from the grounds should they determine additional treatment is necessary.
Fort HealthCare also shares our tent with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. They are available to assist with any individuals who may become separated from their party. Lost Child? Grandson lost Grandma? Individuals may come to the Safe Haven tent for assistance. When a lost child has been reported an immediate lock down of the fairgrounds is put in place. This includes all gates and entrances throughout the Fair Park. On Wednesday, KIDS Day, the Sheriff’s department provides free Child Id Kits.
Have an Infant? Young Toddler? We also have a Baby Friendly area in our tent as well. The Jefferson County Breastfeeding Coalition shares an area in the tent where Mom’s may breastfeed in privacy and also use our baby changing area.
Young Child with lots of energy? Bring them to use our Railyard equipment! We will provide times throughout each day of the fair where children may come and try this portable obstacle course that has received rave reviews from fitness experts worldwide!
Need your Blood Pressure checked? We also offer selective Wellness Screenings during posted times in our Tent. Want to learn Hands Only CPR? We will provide the training for you free of charge! Ask any member of the First Aid team to show you and in 2 minutes you’ll be trained to save a life!
Jefferson County Resident with Cancer? Jefferson County Cancer Coalition will be in our tent to provide information relating to financial assistance and services that are available in our community.
