Fort HealthCare, a non-profit integrated healthcare delivery provider based in Fort Atkinson, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of two new members to the organization’s board of directors. They are Barry Cash, MD, Fort Atkinson, and Eric Runez, Whitewater.

Michael Wallace, Fort HealthCare President and CEO welcomes both Cash and Runez to the board for a three year term beginning in January. Board members may be reappointed for two additional terms.

Board members are chosen based on their professional skills and their ability to represent the healthcare needs of the various communities within the Fort HealthCare primary service area.

“Both new members were selected because of their deeply held regard for the welfare of the communities they live in.” said Wallace. “Barry’s medical background will help guide the board in our decisions that directly affect the health of our patients. Eric, with his background in education and familiarity with both Johnson Creek and Whitewater will help us direct our preventive care resources in a manner that results in improved health status for those we serve.”

In addition to Runez, Cash and Wallace, other Fort HealthCare board members are: community representatives Dean Johnson, Fort Atkinson; Carol Ward Knox, Fort Atkinson; Michael Rumpf, Cambridge; Sharon Schmeling, Jefferson; Robert Schramm, Whitewater; Gregory Waters, Lake Mills and physicians Donald Williams, Thomas Nordland, Jonathan McLaughlin and Michael Anderson (chief of staff).
