Fort HealthCare Behavioral Health is pleased to welcome a new child therapist to its team of providers. Tracey Atkinson, LPC joins the expert team of providers at the Fort HealthCare Behavioral Health and Internal Medicine & Pediatrics clinics in Fort Atkinson.

Tracey received her training at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She comes to Fort HealthCare with over nine years of clinical experience, working with children ages 4-17, using a variety of therapeutic techniques. Her experience working with children and adolescents includes the outpatient mental health setting, as well as community and school environments.

“My passion, as a therapist, is to bring positivity, growth, and encouragement into a child or adolescent’s life. To help them understand through guidance and support that they can be a better version of themselves as a family member, a student, and a friend. To see my client’s evolve from the beginning of therapy to the end – by seeing a smile return, hope return, and change happen when they had previously never thought it was possible – is my goal and my reward.”

Tracey’s level of expertise crosses a large span of mental health issues with children and adolescents. Specialties include:

  • Adoption / Foster issues
  • ADHD
  • Anger issues
  • Anxiety
  • Behavioral issues
