JEFFERSON COUNTY – Fort HealthCare is proud to announce that James Nelson, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been named to the 2026 Wisconsin Titan 100 Hall of Fame, an honor recognizing the state’s most accomplished business leaders for their exceptional vision, leadership, and community impact.
The Titan 100 program identifies the top 100 CEOs and C-level executives across Wisconsin who demonstrate outstanding leadership and passion within their industries. Collectively, this year’s honorees represent organizations employing more than 64,000 individuals and generating over $14 billion in annual revenue.
Nelson’s recognition as a Titan 100 Hall of Fame inductee reflects more than 25 years of strategic leadership and financial stewardship at Fort HealthCare. Since joining the organization in 1998, Nelson has helped guide Fort HealthCare’s growth from $49 million to $140 million in net revenues, contributing to its recognition as both a Top Place to Work by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and a Top Rural and Community Hospital.
“Jim has been instrumental in shaping Fort HealthCare’s strategic direction and ensuring our continued financial strength,” said members of the Fort HealthCare leadership team. “His dedication to our mission—to improve the health and well-being of our communities—has been an anchor of stability and progress for more than two decades.”
When asked what advice he would give his younger self, Nelson shared: “Always be curious. Continue to learn and grow in your skills and knowledge.”
Nelson will be honored alongside fellow 2026 Wisconsin Titan 100 recipients at the Titan 100 Awards Celebration on January 29, 2026, at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The event brings together influential leaders from across the state for an evening of recognition, collaboration, and community celebration.
“Jim’s inclusion in the Wisconsin Titan 100 Hall of Fame is a testament to his outstanding leadership and his unwavering commitment to Fort HealthCare and the communities we serve,” said Michael Anderson, MD, President & CEO of Fort HealthCare. “We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor.”
