Local Ophthalmologist named one of the 'Best in America'

Becker’s ASC Review recently released a list of the "34 of the Best Ophthalmologists in America". Ophthalmologist John A. Vukich, MD was included among the top physicians in his field. Locally, Vukich practices at Fort Memorial Hospital.
Members of this year’s list were selected for their leadership and involvement in nationally recognized ophthalmologic organizations, as well as on their use of technologically advanced procedures and technology in the field of ophthalmology.
The list was created through extensive research and recommendations from around the country. All surgeons included on the list were trained at top medical schools and often completed fellowships and residencies in ophthalmology at highly regarded institutions. Many of these surgeons are also recipients of nationally recognized awards and prizes and are involved with reputable universities and organizations, serving as researchers, professors and contributors to scientific journals.
Dr. Vukich performs up to 30 eye surgeries per month at Fort Memorial Hospital. He has been with Davis Duehr Dean since 1990 and specializes in cataract laser and refractive surgery. Dr. Vukich is board certified in ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He completed his residency at Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, IL and his internship at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
