Fort HealthCare is committed to providing area residents with a quality healthcare experience close to home. As the community grows, Fort HealthCare responds by ensuring there are enough providers to serve area residents. In a committed effort to improve access and availability of providers to Lake Mills and Fort Atkinson, Fort HealthCare welcomes three new providers to the Lake Mills clinic.
The Fort HealthCare Lake Mills Clinic and Urgent Care, located at 200 East Tyranena Park Road, have been a part of the Lake Mills community for many years, providing family and internal medicine care. Lake Mills physicians Wahab Kazi, MD and James Wishau, MD are joined by Frederick W. Kron, MD, Jennifer Philbin, MD and Family Nurse Practitioner Noelle Van De Kreeke.
Dr. Kron received his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C., and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In addition to Family Medicine, his 30-year medical career includes training in Radiology, Internal Medicine and Flight Medicine. Special areas of interest are Geriatrics, Physician-Patient Communications and New Media Technology in Medicine.
Dr. Philbin received her medical degree from the University of Illinois-College of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Illinois/Illinois Masonic Family Medicine Residency. She also completed a Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Philbin provides a wide range of care for patients of all ages.
Noelle Van De Kreeke has extensive nursing experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, Oncology, Gynecology and other areas of adult medicine. She received her nursing degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and most recently, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Noelle cares for patients of all ages.
Edwin Fischer, MD, Sarah Barnes, DO and Laurel Runte, PNP have recently moved their services to the Fort Atkinson area, joined by new family medicine physician, Aaron Beck, MD. They are providing a full spectrum of preventive and medical care for all ages at the new Fort HealthCare Integrated Family Care Clinic temporarily located at 426 McMillen Street in Fort Atkinson. The new clinic will relocate in the spring of 2013 into its permanent location at 1520 Madison Avenue in Fort Atkinson, into the building that currently houses the Goodwill Store and is adjacent to Fort HealthCare Orthopaedic Associates and Therapy & Sport. Patients may continue to schedule appointments with doctors Fischer, Barnes, Beck and pediatric nurse practitioner Runte by calling the new clinic at 920-563-5500.
Sarah Sisbach, executive director of physician services for Fort HealthCare, states, “Our ongoing commitment to the Lake Mills community is very much on our mind during these changes and through the expansion of providers into the Fort Atkinson area. We are very excited to add additional doctors and nurse practitioners into Fort Medical Group.”
Lake Mills physicians Kazi, Wishau, Kron, Philbin and nurse practitioner Van de Kreeke are all accepting appointments in the Lake Mills Clinic. Patients may call 920-648-8393 to make an appointment. The Lake Mills clinic’s hours for scheduled appointments are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Lake Mills Urgent Care is also a continued service for the community. Jonathan Brodie, MD and Mary Miller, MD, along with Dr. Kazi, provide care after hours and on the weekends for non-life threatening urgent care issues. Patients experiencing shortness of breath, severe pain, chest pain, a traumatic injury, a loss of consciousness or other life threatening symptoms should call 911 or seek an emergency room for help. Lake Mills Urgent Care hours are Monday-Friday, 5 -10 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
Walk-in appointments are welcome during these hours for urgent care issues such as colds, flu-like symptoms, allergic reactions, ear infections, minor illness or injuries, or sprains and strains. For the management of chronic health conditions, regular patient visits, screenings, physicals, immunizations, flu shots, and lab work, patients should schedule an appointment with their doctor during regular office hours.
