Nursing scholarships available through Fort HealthCare Partners

Fort HealthCare’s Partners organization is pleased to announce applications are being accepted for three $1000 scholarships to be awarded to qualified applicants enrolled in an associate’s degree nursing program.

To be eligible, applicants must have completed all general and pre-nursing coursework, been granted a spot in the core nursing program for the upcoming fall semester, achieved a grade point average of at least 2.75, currently live in the Fort HealthCare service area which includes the school districts of Cambridge, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Palmyra and Whitewater.

Applicants with work experience in a health care field and showing a strong financial need will receive preference. Applications must be postmarked by August 15, 2012 and are available at the Volunteer Services office or at FortHealthCare.com/Scholarships.

The Partners organization will grant $15,000 in health career scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year and provides funding for new equipment, new services and patient education for Fort Memorial Hospital. Additionally, Partners provide volunteer services that supplement the basic functions of hospital staff by making a patient’s stay more pleasant.

Partner’s is a voluntary organization composed of men and women dedicated to promoting the interests of Fort HealthCare and its patients. Volunteers donate their time and energy to help others, enjoy opportunities to learn new skills, get a better understanding of the health field, and use some of free time more productively.
