Fort Memorial PET/CT scan services helps detect disease at earlier stages

Beginning Friday, September 27th patients living in the Fort Atkinson area will no longer be required to travel out of the area to have an exam that helps doctors detect disease in its early stages and monitor the progress of patients’ treatment. The scanner, developed by GE Healthcare, combines two kinds of imaging to give doctors complete information about the patient’s condition in a single exam that usually takes less than one hour. Previously, doctors had to put patients through two separate scans to get similar information.

Fort HealthCare Johnson Creek Offering Free Blood Pressure Screening Day

The Fort HealthCare Johnson Creek Clinic is hosting a free blood pressure screening day on Wednesday, September 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the clinic. The clinic is located on the lower level of the building at 400 Doctors Court, off of Highway 26 near Menards. Registration is not required, and new patients are encouraged to attend.

Fort HealthCare Frosty Rock Challenge slated for November 16

The inaugural Fort HealthCare Frosty Rock Challenge 5k &12k will be held on Saturday, November 16. Beginning at the Fort HealthCare Therapy & Sport Center in Fort Atkinson, participants will have a choice between a 5k road course run or walk and a 12k mixed course run. The 12k race commences at 9:00 AM and is followed by the start of the 5k at 9:15 AM. Registration begins at 7:30 AM.

Jefferson High volleyball team raises funds for free mammograms

Every year the Jefferson High School volleyball team dedicates a home game to the 'Pink' cause. This year's 'PINK' game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, with Varsity play starting at 6:30 PM. Every dollar made that night - concessions, t-shirt sales, 50/50 raffles and more - goes toward a breast cancer related cause. As was true last year, monies raised will be donated to the Fort HealthCare mammogram voucher program, a service that provides free mammograms for under- and uninsured women.
