For 27 years, the response from individuals, organizations, clubs and businesses has made the Fort Memorial Hospital Love Light Tree project a successful annual event, exemplifying the spirit of giving. The support given to the project has generated funds to help people of all ages with a variety of healthcare needs. The Love Lights will decorate several evergreen trees on the hospital grounds facing Sherman Avenue beginning in December.

The Selenia system is the latest generation of mammography equipment from Hologic, the world leader in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Fort HealthCare’s team of pediatric wellness staff visited Luther Elementary School in Fort Atkinson recently to teach kids how to keep their bodies strong and healthy through the PEP Rally pilot program. PEP tackled three important issues related to healthy choices: play more, eat right and push away the screen, the main concepts behind the national We Can! initiative.

The Tar Wars program is funded through Tomorrow’s Hope and reaches eight districts. The 2011 winner of the poster contest is Quinn Borchert, an 11-year-old student at Prospect Elementary School in Lake Mills. She is pictured with her winning poster and sisters Calla, age 10 and Kaitlin, age seven.

The Fort HealthCare Center for Joint Replacement recently celebrated its one year anniversary with a complimentary luncheon for patients of the program and their guests at Central Coast Restaurant in Fort Atkinson. The Center is a comprehensive service of Fort HealthCare Orthopaedic Associates; it officially began treating patients requiring hip and knee replacements in July 2010.
