The City of Fort Atkinson Wastewater Utility and Fort HealthCare will be holding a mercury-to-digital thermometer exchange at the Fort Atkinson Farmers Market on Saturday, September 3, 8:00 a.m. through Noon. The market is located in the Milwaukee street municipal parking lot across from the post office in downtown Fort Atkinson. This is the third and final thermometer drive underwritten by Fort HealthCare through the purchase of 200 digital thermometers.

Fort HealthCare recently donated a variety of items used to make health/hygiene kits for the Cambridge Food Pantry to put on their shelves. Fort HealthCare also shared information about their free Mammogram program, free community health program, and pocket-sized first aid information cards.

Fort HealthCare will be hosting the second annual Family Health Fair from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Center on Saturday, August 27. The Radio Disney Road Crew will be featured at the Family Health Fair from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the fairgrounds activity building. There will be dancing, games, prizes and health information. Games at the fair include Sumo Wrestling, Operation, Inflatable Twister, Bungee Run and Dance, Dance Revolution.

Fort HealthCare is pleased to announce that the current Heart Failure clinic is changing its name to Heart Failure Follow-up Program, to better reflect the services offered and patients served. The program began in 2003 and is open to any patient with a diagnosis of heart failure. The program is staffed by registered nurses, trained in critical care, and has physician oversight.
