Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Names Fort HealthCare Top Workplace in 2017
Fort HealthCare has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day, the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
Fort HealthCare has received this tremendous award for several years now, since the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel began recognizing the Top Workplaces Award in 2010. This award continues to be a great celebration of hard work and community efforts that Fort HealthCare provides with their continued passion, mission and vision. Nancy Alstad, Senior Director of Human Resources said, “Our employees are a valuable asset and this recognition signifies that they feel valued and proud to be a part of the Fort HealthCare family; and that our ‘Culture of Respect’ is a culture where employees can thrive, feel inspired and can obtain personal accomplishments. What an incredible honor!”
Each year, employee opinions are collected through anonymous surveys. They rank their company or organization on criteria including how valued they feel, the benefits and pay, management capabilities, career advancement opportunities, work-life balance and much more. Some of the statements from the employees at Fort HealthCare included: “Management is fair and trustworthy. They focus on the best principles of quality health care delivery,” “The opportunities at Fort HealthCare are vast and I feel there are many opportunities for advancement and growth with the company” and “The overall mission of Fort HealthCare is to improve the health and well-being of our community and I think Fort Healthcare goes above and beyond accomplishing that goal.”
Fort HealthCare is committed to improving the health and well-being of our communities, with a vision to be the healthiest community in Wisconsin. As the leading healthcare provider in the region, it is our goal to reach as many members of the community as possible with health and wellness messages, providing tools and resources to help individuals improve their health and quality of life, while collaborating with several partners to positively improve the population’s health overall on a long term basis.
