UW Health Sleep Medicine services now at Fort Memorial Hospital

The Specialty Clinic at Fort HealthCare’s Fort Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that UW Health Doctors Mary Klink and Mihai Teodorescu are now providing sleep medicine consultations. Dr. Klink and Dr. Teodorescu will see patients on Mondays and Tuesdays during the month.

Dr. Klink is board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine and pulmonary disease. She has practiced in the field of sleep medicine for over 25 years and specializes in sleep-related breathing disorders. She also consults in management of abnormal behaviors in sleep and restless legs. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and received her Fellowship training at the University of Arizona Medical Center, Tucson, AZ.

Dr. Teodorescu is board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine and geriatric medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Teodorescu’s research interests include sleep as it pertains to balance, falls and cognition in older persons. He attended medical school at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. He received Fellowship training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI.

Drs. Klink and Teodorescu are available for consultations to evaluate sleep concerns and disorders, and referral for sleep testing or treatment. Prior to scheduling a consultation appointment at the Fort HealthCare Specialty Clinic, the physicians require the following:

• A recent clinic note from a patient’s primary care physician describing the clinical issue pertaining to the patient’s sleep problem and any attempted treatments
• A list of the patient’s health conditions and medications.

Fort Memorial Hospital offers a comprehensive sleep medicine program, including an on-site Sleep Center. The Sleep Center offers diagnosis and treatment of common sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome and narcolepsy.
