Fort HealthCare is pleased to welcome a new pediatrician to its team of providers. Catherine Sweeney, MD joins Donald Williams, MD, Katherine Lemon, MD, Julia Dewey, MD, Heidi Jennrich, APNP, and Lauren Mayer, APNP, seeing patients by appointment at Fort HealthCare Pediatrics in Fort Atkinson. The clinic is located at 500 McMillen Street in Fort Atkinson.

Dr. Sweeney received her training at Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in North Chicago, IL with a residency in Pediatrics with UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, TX. She is Board Certified by the Medical Board of Wisconsin. She is a pediatrician dedicated to working with patients and their families in our communities.

“I love pediatrics because I get to work (and play!) with kids. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch children grow and develop, and to build lasting relationships with them and their families. I love being able to provide anticipatory guidance to patients and parents, whether that’s through the course of development or the course of an illness.”

Dr. Sweeney enjoys the whole spectrum of general pediatric care, from birth through adolescence, and promoting healthy living at every step of the way. Outside of work, she enjoys devoting her spare time to her husband and daughter, as well as reading, hiking, and traveling.

Pediatrics is the specialized branch of medicine dedicated to the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. A part of Fort Medical Group, the professionals at Fort HealthCare Pediatrics are here to guide your family to total health through prevention, education, and medical intervention – if needed. To help busy families get the care they need, the Pediatrics clinic offers extended hours (by appointment) for children on certain days of the week for non-emergency issues:

  • Monday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Tuesday-Thursday: 8a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to Noon

Patients may contact the clinic at (920) 563-5571 to schedule an appointment.

If non-emergency symptoms arise later than when the extended office hours are available, patients are encouraged to message their provider’s triage staff through the secure messaging function of the MyCompass patient portal (if enrolled), or call the clinic and leave a message. Staff will review the message(s) and your concerns during the next business day and contact you with next steps, comfort measures you can offer your child, or available times to schedule an appointment if necessary.
