Alyssa Villarreal, MS, OTR – Occupational Therapist:

Alyssa is an occupational therapist at the Fort Atkinson Therapy & Sport Center.  “I chose to become an Occupational Therapist because I saw there were a lot of people who had limited access to health care, and as a result, had serious limitations to life following surgery or significant illnesses. I want to provide a therapy that will allow everyone to live their life to the fullest!”
Alyssa works with a variety of upper extremity cases – most commonly shoulder and elbow injuries, but also hand and finger injuries.  In addition, she has a special certification (Saebo) to assist people after they have had a neurological injury (stroke, traumatic brain injury, etc.) in regaining the functionality of their hand.  Alyssa has a specific interest in assisting with lifestyle redesign after injury or surgery.

Alyssa’s Interests:

Alyssa has a great appreciation for an active lifestyle. “In my free time I like to spend as much time as I can outdoors with family and friends. I enjoy camping, backpacking, paddle boarding, sporting events, biking the beautiful trails in Wisconsin, and am currently working toward running a half marathon in each state of the US.”
