Cathy Niesen, LPTA

Medical Practice

Cathy is a physical therapist assistant at the Fort Atkinson Therapy & Sport Center. She was drawn to this profession by her fond appreciation for the biomechanics and function of the body. “The human body is an amazing thing. To understand how the body functions is an ongoing challenge that presents many opportunities for learning. Every day there is a chance to learn something new; being able to pass that education on to others and help them apply it to their lives is the most rewarding part of my job.”

Cathy sees a variety of patients in the clinic. She has a particular interest in conditions involving the spine, pelvis, and core. She has participated in many continuing education classes involving integrated manual therapy as an additional tool to supplement a patient’s therapy.

Personal Interests

Cathy is an active member of her community and church. She is also a proud supporter of her children in their activities and accomplishments, being sure to photograph and scrapbook the defining moments. “My joy in life starts at home with my family and continues with my involvement in my community. I strive to be a positive role model and influence on my kids and community.”
