Deborah Palmer
Clinical Practice
Deborah Palmer is an inpatient speech pathologist at Fort Memorial Hospital. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point for her undergraduate studies and obtained her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. With extensive experience spanning many years, she has primarily focused on serving children of all ages and disabilities. However, in recent years, her main area of expertise has been working with adults in various healthcare settings including skilled nursing environments, rehabilitation hospitals, and acute care hospitals. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of speech and language disorders such as aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, swallowing disorders, voice disorders, and various cognitive communication deficits.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Deb loves to read and enjoys continuous learning. During her leisure time, much like Karen, she can often be found in a coffee shop. She also loves to travel and explore new places. Currently, Deb is ready to test for her 3rd-degree black belt and is deeply passionate about dance. While she loves all forms of dance, her recent focus has been on Latin dances.
