H. Turner Wentzien, LPC, comes from a small town where everyone knows everyone, so helping people achieve their goals and overcome obstacles is ingrained in his life perspective. He has a deep passion for uplifting others and helping them to accomplish what they didn’t think was possible.

“Mental health has been a fulfilling journey into understanding those around me. I enjoy getting to know patients and watching their progress through the therapeutic process. I hope to address the variety of stressors in modern life and to impact my patients’ lives for the better.”

Turner has experience working with children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and other SPMI (Serious and Persistent Mental Illness) as well as with patients who struggle with anxiety/mood disorders and substance-use issues. He enjoys working with patients beginning on their mental health journey and seeking education about diagnosis, treatment, and social stigma around mental health.

Personal Interests

When he’s not at work, Turner spends time with family and friends, participating in marathons, and playing basketball and sand volleyball. He also likes rooting for his home state Iowa Hawkeyes.
