Joni Sund, PAC, MPAS: Family Medicine Physician Assistant

Joni chose to become a physician assistant because of her keen interest in medicine. She enjoys the challenge of diagnostics and working with people. The flexibility of her profession as a PA allows Joni to see people with a variety of conditions. She likes being able to help her patients be healthy, by using her education, training and experience to create a health plan for her patients that results in healthy outcomes.

“I do my best work when I am part of a team, working for the best outcome for our patients. I am happy to be part of the Fort HealthCare team.”

For Joni, being a physician assistant is truly where life and medicine have found a perfect balance.

Joni’s Interests

Joni practices in Family Medicine, providing care for all patients, pediatric to geriatric. Her professional experience includes Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics and Family Medicine. Joni’s well-rounded background as a health care provider helps her provide the diagnostic skills and preventative care her patients want and need. Joni is an integral part of the Cambridge medical team, promoting better access to healthcare for everyone.

Family is very important to Joni and she enjoys socializing with family and friends. “One of my favorite pastimes is going to movies; there’s something about seeing a movie on the big screen. I love reading all types of books and enjoy the Sudoku and Ken-Ken puzzles in the newspaper. In good weather I enjoy Flea markets, auctions and yard sales with my sisters.”

Your Health is a Team Effort

We believe in healthcare based on partnership: between Fort HealthCare and the communities we serve, as well as partnership between doctor and patient. That’s why we strive to involve patients and their families in maintaining good health that lasts a lifetime. We’re committed to the health of our communities, and we’re always here to listen, understand and respond to your healthcare concerns. The Cambridge Family Practice clinic works to help the entire family achieve total health through prevention, education and, if needed, medical intervention. The Cambridge Family Practice clinic is part of Fort HealthCare's Fort Medical Group network of clinics.

Cambridge Family Practice Provides the Best Of Care

Our Family Medicine practitioners are motivated by one simple directive: To provide the best care possible.

Part of what enables us to provide consistently high quality healthcare is continuity. Pediatric and adolescent care continues through adulthood with your personal family physician, who knows your medical history and has earned your trust.

We constantly strive to be timely and accessible. To that end, our Family Medicine Clinics are located close to where you live and work, and our physicians have privileges at Fort Memorial Hospital.
