Dr. Johnston is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 20 years of experience and a strong commitment to providing advanced women’s health care close to home. She brings highly specialized, minimally invasive gynecologic and obstetric services to the area, eliminating the need for patients to travel long distances for complex care.
Dr. Martin-Johnston specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence. She is especially known for offering uterus-preserving treatment options, including the Acessa® procedure for fibroid ablation, giving women alternatives to hysterectomy and more control over their reproductive health.

I had a laprascopic hysterectomy...without including the discomfort I dealt with I have to say Dr. Martin-Johnson is an excellent doctor. Very kind, very informative and very caring. She definitely had a calming effect. I highly recommend The Women's Health Center for any female issues

My previous ob was my ob for 13 years. I received more care in one visit with Dr. Johnston than I have in over a decade. She listened to my concerns and took good care of me. I booked my follow up and got my lab orders before I even left. I didn't feel rushed or like a burden as some doctors can make you feel. What stood out to me was how personable and kind not only she but her staff was as well. I came in with a smile and left with a smile. As a Black woman, it often times feel like doctors think I am undeserving of the same care everyone else receives. She never made me once feel that way and really showed me the kind of care i should have received this entire time. Dr. Johnston was great with me and so was the staff. I feel blessed to have her as my ob and to have found her!

Dr. Johnston was a breathe of fresh air. Instead of just telling me about what or how things would happen in my pregnancy- she listened to me and what I was looking for. This was a marked difference that my prior OBGYN experience. Dr. Johnston was not just a great listener but just a down to earth, caring on my visits. She was gentle on examination and our visits together went by without a hitch. On the date of my delivery, Dr. Johnston delivered our beautiful daughter, Ella and I couldn't have been happier with my time with her for the past several months seeing her in her Lake Zurich office.

Dr. Johnston was an amazing doctor who consistently asked me for my ideas and input during the entire pregnancy. Most doctors just direct and point you to what they want. Dr. Johnston was quite the opposite and her caring nature was just over-flowing in each visit. She was smiling in all of our visits, kept our visits stress-free and never left any my questions unanswered. Dr. Johnston performed my delivery with skill and efficiency not done in my prior delivery which took hours upon hours in hospital. My baby girl is beautiful and I'm glad Dr. Johnston was there to do my delivery.
