Baby Friendly
At Fort Healthcare, you’re receiving care at one of only eight hospitals in Wisconsin with the ‘Baby Friendly’ accreditation, an initiative created by the World Health Organization and UNICEF recognizing hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding.
Our Baby Friendly program encourages skin-to-skin immediately at birth and focuses on the initiation of breastfeeding based on the infant’s feeding cues.
