This FREE six-week community wellness challenge encourages physical activity and tracking steps as a way to get you moving. Steps and exercises are tools for healthy coping by decreasing the effects of stress on the body. Learn more or register at forthealthcare.com/stepscount.
During the summer of 2020, we started the Fort HealthCare Virtual 5K Series! The free series includes several different “races” held one time per month during different seasons. Participants complete a “virtual 5k”—meaning, they walk or run 3.1 miles on a course that they choose or complete by treadmill. Once completed, participants submit their time and are put on a virtual leaderboard that tracks their overall place compared to all participants.
This is an individual physical activity challenge created to encourage participants to log the recommended 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity every week. Rock the Walk is a six-week challenge with weekly prizes awarded to active participants.
The 2020 Rock the Walk challenge will take place between September and November, and registration opens in August. Schedules, prizes, signup instructions and all other details can be found at forthealthcare.com/rockthewalk
