As our mission states, we are working every day to improve the health and well-being of our community.

We know that this is difficult, so we’ve developed fun, interactive wellness challenges to give our communities the tools they need to make important lifestyle changes. Every challenge offers:

  • A set number of weeks to push yourself to form new, healthy habits, typically eight weeks.
  • Awesome prizes like gift certificates, fitness equipment, or passes to health clubs.
  • An online system for tracking individual or team progress.
  • Educational articles to teach WHY we should form new habits and HOW to do so EVERYDAY.

Virtual 5K Series

During the summer of 2020, we started the Fort HealthCare Virtual 5K Series! The free series includes several different “races” held one time per month between the 10th & 20th. Participants complete a “virtual 5k”—meaning, they walk or run 3.1 miles on a course that they choose or complete by treadmill. Once completed, participants submit their time and are put on a virtual leaderboard that tracks their overall place compared to all participants.

The 2023 Rock the Walk challenge will take place between September and November, and registration opens in August.  Schedules, prizes, signup instructions and all other details can be found at forthealthcare.com/rockthewalk

Slimdown Challenge

The 2023 Slimdown Challenge is revving up for the upcoming holiday season! This FREE challenge runs October 24th-December 5th with the theme: “Health for the Holidays.” It’s no secret that the last few years have been challenging  for most, and have been full of changes, anxieties and the “new normal”. One thing that hasn’t changed is Fort HealthCare’s commitment to our communities’ health, and making sure that our communities and partners feel supported during this tumultuous time.  Learn more about the challenge and how to register at FortHealthCare.com/Slimdown.
