“I approach my role a wound care provider as a partnership with my patients. I endeavor to make treatment recommendations that take into account the needs and circumstances of each individual patient. Also, wound management is a team effort. The patient, his or her caregivers, along with the doctor, nurse and therapist all contribute to successful wound healing.”
Dr. Smith-Chase is a board certified hyperbaric medicine specialist.
“When not working, I enjoy listening to music and choral singing. I also like science fiction movies especially those with an outer space theme. I love traveling to different countries, especially tropical locales such as Aruba, Philippines and Greece. I’m a bit of a Foodie, so my travels give me the opportunity to try lots of interesting cuisine.”
There are many different types of wounds and various edema conditions. It can be very frustrating and time consuming to heal. At the Fort HealthCare Hyperbarics, Wound & Edema Center, we use the most up-to-date practices and equipment for wound healing, lymphedema, and ostomy treatment.
