Laura Hafenstein, LAT

Athletic Trainer

Clinical Practice

Laura is an Athletic Trainer at Fort HealthCare Therapy & Sport Center and provides outreach to Lake Mills High School.

I was introduced to the profession of Athletic Training in high school. I was a devoted athlete and found myself frequently visiting the Athletic Training Room. I fell in love with athletic training the second I was introduced to the profession. My athletic trainers in high school and college quickly became my role models and I wanted to be just like them when I grew up. Having the ability to rehabilitate injuries, develop close relationships with my patients, and become a key role in athletic development have become my passion.

Laura has developed a strong interest in strength development and biomechanical movements by specifically adapting lifting programs to meet the physical demands of sport. She has also developed special interest in hands on manual therapy to rehabilitate injuries.

Personal Interests

In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities with my dogs including hiking and running. I also enjoy long road trips exploring places I have never been.
