About Fort HealthCare Learning Center:

Fort HealthCare Learning Center

Participants in our Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) class are “resuscitating” Matilda, one of our high-fidelity manikins.

The Learning Center provides educational opportunities not only to Fort HealthCare employees, but also to area hospitals, schools, and healthcare facilities. The Simulation Lab provides “hands on” experience to hospital and clinic staff by using a variety of task trainers, static and high-fidelity manikins. These activities enhance critical thinking while instilling best practice to ensure safe, quality care for our patients. The Learning Center also coordinates/manages the Nurse Residency Program, new employee orientation, the Education/Simulation team, various competency days, our Learning Management System (Swank), various Point Teams, and much more.

See our current class offerings at: in the Healthcare Providers Courses category.

Our DESIRE: To include all healthcare and ancillary disciplines and practitioners in education to support high quality and safe care for our patients. To improve interdisciplinary teamwork and communication across the organization.

Our DREAM: To establish and maintain a best-practice Learning Center within Fort HealthCare that is committed to training employees, physicians, and various members of our community.
