UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek is a joint community partnership among Fort HealthCare, Watertown Area Health Services and UW Health, designed to bring patients and families local access to cutting-edge cancer treatment and research. This unique collaboration between two community hospitals and an academic medical center was inspired by the desire to find a creative way of better meeting patient needs within the local community.

UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek features the latest in radiation therapy which combines medical imaging, 3-D simulation, treatment beam shaping and respiratory monitoring. A Varian Platinum EX linear accelerator will provide intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) – an advanced mode of high precision radiotherapy that utilizes computer-controlled X-ray accelerators to deliver precise radiation doses to a tumor or specific areas within the tumor.
Multidisciplinary care – a hallmark of UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek’s approach to treatment – means experts in all areas of cancer care are involved in customizing an optimal treatment plan for each patient. Virtually all types of cancer will be treated at this new facility, as expert physicians and a compassionate, attentive staff will provide top-notch cancer care in a supportive, nurturing environment.
UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek is proud to be a regional partner of the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin, as designated by the National Cancer Institute. This partnership provides cancer patients with access to improved cancer care and clinical trials, as well as comprehensive patient education materials and “real-time” second opinions with physicians in Madison.
Treatment options that are best suited to your specific condition are outlined and while some treatments are availabe at Fort Memorial Hospital, you may also be reffered to one of our partner organizations: UW Johnson Creek Cancer Center, Turville Bay MRI & Radiation Oncology Center or oncology and hematology specialists from the Dean Medical Center where patients receive only the most advanced oncology care including medical and radiation oncology services, chemotherapy treatments, clinical trials, prevention and education services.
