The Fort HealthCare Wound & Edema Center gives you expert care and works with your doctor to assist in healing your problem wound. Specialized wound care such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can speed up healing, reduce additional surgeries, and help patients avoid hospitalization.

Robert J. Goldman“Our goal is to heal wounds, not just treat them, and to improve the quality of life. We truly are a ‘healing center,’ not just a ‘wound care’ center. When you heal the wound, you continue to stay healed and have the tools to keep you from coming back for further treatment.”

There are many different types of wounds and various edema conditions. It can be very frustrating and time consuming to heal. At the Fort HealthCare Wound & Edema Center, we use the most up-to-date practices and equipment for wound healing and lymphedema treatment. We treat:

  • Lymphedema
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Surgical wounds
  • Burns and traumatic wounds
  • Venous insufficiency
  • Vasculitis
  • Skin irritations and other non-healing wounds
  • And all other types of chronic wounds

Referral and Self-Referral

Often times you, as a patient, have the best ability to determine when something just isn’t right. If you are diabetic, you may notice chronic, non-healing wounds on your neck, jaw, feet, or other areas. Cancer patients may experience swelling and fluid build-up in the feet, legs and ankles. Perhaps you have undergone surgery recently and are slow to heal or you feel a burn that is taking too long to repair itself. Whatever the situation, there is help.
