Fort HealthCare Offers New Fitness Classes

Fort HealthCare is committed to improving the health and well-being of our community. We encourage everyone to explore opportunities for self-enhancement. These new fitness classes beginning in April and other offerings can help.

No Nonsense, Low Impact Workout: No fancy footwork! Moves are fun, easy to follow and easy on the joints. Increase your aerobic capacity, strength, balance and metabolism by combining moves from yoga, Pilates, basic calisthenics and martial arts. Classes will vary each week and options will be given so you can work at your own level. 6-week sessions begin Wednesday, April 25 at 9:45 a.m. or Thursday, April 26 at 5:45 a.m. at Fort Memorial Hospital and are $25.

Step Aerobics: This class consists of choreographed step patterns. You’ll challenge your mind and body as you burn calories! The intensity of your workout is determined by the speed, travel and execution of your movements. This class is recommended for anyone with group fitness class experience. Classes begin Wednesday, April 25 at 8:30 a.m. at Fort Memorial Hospital. Cost is $25.

Express Classes: Fort HealthCare offers 30 minute express classes over the lunch hour designed to help you de-stress, get your heart pumping and body moving! 6-week classes include Step Aerobics Express beginning Tuesday, April 24 at 12:15 p.m., Yoga Express beginning Wednesday April 25 at Noon, Boot Camp Express on Friday, April 27 at 11:30 a.m. and Cardio Kickboxing Express on Friday, April 27 at 12:15 p.m. All classes are held at Fort Memorial Hospital.
