Fort HealthCare is pleased to announce that the organization has once again been named a ‘Top Workplace’ by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The honor was announced in a special “Top Workplaces” section of the newspaper. The section profiles high-performing companies, including Fort HealthCare. Fort HealthCare has proudly received this award five out of the last six years since the Journal Sentinel began recognizing the Top Workplaces Award in 2010.

The ‘Top Workplaces’ recognition is given to the leading workplaces in the southeastern Wisconsin region based on employee opinions collected through an anonymous survey. The results of the employee survey were compared across participating organizations, with the best 150 companies appearing on the list. Fort HealthCare was ranked 24th among large-sized businesses with 500 or more employees. Rankings are based on input from a large percentage of workers at each nominated organization.

“This repeat recognition is such a great achievement for us,” said Mike Wallace, President & CEO of Fort HealthCare. “We strive to maintain a work environment that allows for personal accomplishment and rewards results.” Wallace notes, “Achieving the distinction of Top Workplace demonstrates that Fort HealthCare stands out as an ethical, caring employer with good leadership and development opportunities for staff. This recognition also honors the hard work that every employee contributes to make our company a great place to work.”

Working with survey company WorkplaceDynamics, the Journal Sentinel asked employees to rank their company or organization on criteria including how valued they feel, pay and benefits, management capabilities, career advancement opportunities, flexibility of working conditions and many more topics. Among the 20 statements presented to employees are the following: “I believe this company is going in the right direction,” “I feel genuinely appreciated at this company,” “I have the flexibility I need to balance my work and personal life,” “My manager listens to me,” and “My pay is fair for the work I do.”

Nancy Alstad, Fort HealthCare Director of Human Resources commented, “Being recognized as a five-time award winner of the Top Workplaces is such an exciting honor! Recognition also signifies that our employees feel valued and proud to be part of our organization; and that there is solid engagement and commitment indicating our culture is moving forward in the right direction.” Lesa Radloff, Senior Human Resources Business Partner, added, “Our employees are our most valuable asset, and we are so pleased that their survey participation has again resulted in Fort HealthCare being part of this elite group in the Top Workplaces.”
